Turkish holiday destinations are booming. Saarbrücken Airport starts the summer flight schedule for 2024 with its largest flight offer to Antalya and Izmir so far. The flights can already be booked.
The `Turkish Riviera` and `Turkish Aegean` belong to the most important holiday regions in summer. Not just families or those looking for relaxation opt for the various offers and modern accommodations, but also more and more active holidaymakers, e. g. people interested in golf, or sports clubs and sports teams who travel to training camps.
Due to a high demand, the new summer flight programme of Saarbrücken Airport registers the widest range of flights to Turkish destinations to date:
From March 2024, two companies, SunExpress (7 departures per week) and Corendon Airlines (2 departures per week), will fly to Antalya on the `Turkish Riviera`. While SunExpress had only gradually increased its flight offering from four departures per week to the current level in the summer season 2023, the summer flight schedule 2024 offers daily flights of the airline from the beginning. A proof that a continued high demand is expected from Saarbrücken.
The destination Izmir, part of the `Turkish Aegean`, is served twice a week by SunExpress.

With all in all eleven departures per week, Turkey remains the second pillar of Saarbrücken Airport for holiday flights. Due to the continued strong demand, only the number of departures to Mallorca is higher.

Due to a continued high demand, SunExpress offers additional flights to Antalya and Izmir around Christmas and New Year – on December 22 and 29 and January 5. The flights and package tours can already be booked.
